The Würzburger Wohnungsbuch: offizielles Adreßbuch is a directory and reference work published in Würzburg by Stürtz Verlag, which appeared from 1918 to 1939. It was a direct successor to the Würzburger Adreßbuch, which had been published under that title until 1917. From the 1940 edition onwards, the series was continued once again under its former title, “Würzburger Adreßbuch”.
The Würzburger Wohnungsbuch contains alphabetical directories of names with details of occupation, place of residence and business activities, as well as lists of streets, houses and businesses. This is supplemented by overviews of public authorities, public institutions and associations, as well as business advertisements. In addition, some volumes contain further local information, for example on places of interest in Würzburg. Furthermore, some surrounding municipalities such as Heidingsfeld, Gerbrunn, Höchberg, Oberdürrbach, Randersacker, Rimpar, Rottendorf, Unterdürrbach, Veitshöchheim, Versbach and Zell am Main were also included. Individual volumes also contain maps or town plans.
